Physical Education and Health

In the Physical Education and Health program, graduates can major in five areas including physical education, exercise sciences, and athletic training, and minors in four areas including coaching and non-teaching of physical education.

Our faculty make challenging work interesting, and establish lasting partnerships in learning. On-going mentoring is the basis of a partnership between student and faculty, which often extends beyond graduation and entry into the work place.

Students graduating from our programs are educated to the highest standards within their chosen profession through both classroom and real-life settings. Hands-on experiences in the field are a cornerstone of all programs. Strong ties with professionals in our community exist because of the successes of former RMC interns. Student interns have been placed in health clubs, private physical therapy practices, hospitals, and with semi-pro sports teams.

We are proud of the after-graduation successes of our students in both job placement and continuing education fields. We have a very high job placement rate in jobs all around the country. We also have alumni in graduate programs in areas such as physical therapy, health administration, as well as research assistantships.

Outside of classes our students are heavily involved in all campus activities from plays to talent shows, with our sports teams in such capacities as athletic trainer, and services such as personal trainer.
