Biography
"I feel lucky to have been given an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of so many students." My favorite classes are Biomechanics and Foundations of Human Structure and Function. I am currently doing research on the biomechanics of spinal movement which is quite interesting and very involved in the physics of human motion. I also have a special interest in the history of sport; especially women's sports and the Olympics.
I am an avid mountain biker; I particularly like biking in the Pryor Mountains. My most enjoyable trip was biking the entire length of the Hiawatha Trail; a Rails to Trails site in western Montana. I also own a few horses and enjoy trail riding; but mostly I help train endurance racing horses and act as crew for friends who race horses 50 to 100 miles. My knowledge in exercise physiology helps with the conditioning and training of these endurance horses. I have been teaching at Rocky Mountain College for 31 years now. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. The students and colleagues here are like family.
