Dr. DeRosier is a celebrated author and professor of psychology. Her first book, Creeker: A Woman's Journey, was chosen as the freshmen book at the University of Kentucky, and her second book, Songs of Life and Grace, was the Appalachian Writers' Association Book of the Year in 2004. Professor DeRosier has also authored the textbook Understanding Psychology and its complementary study guide. She has contributed to numerous magazines and journals with stories about growing up in Kentucky's Appalachia area, as well as her life in Montana. In 2004, Dr. DeRosier received the Thomas D. Clark Award for Literary Excellence.
