Biography

Dr. Linda Scott DeRosier is a celebrated author as well as a teacher. Her book, "Creeker: A Woman's Journey," was chosen [as] the freshmen book at the University of Kentucky, and her second book, "Songs of Life and Grace," was the Appalachian Writers' Association Book of the Year in 2004. "Creeker" is a vivid memoir of growing up in Kentucky and moving out into the world though still hanging on to that sense of family and culture. "Songs" is a memoir about her parents, but also about their families and their neighbors. She has also written the text book, "Understanding Psychology," and its complementary "Understanding Psychology, Study Guide."
