Biography

Precious McKenzie, who has been at Rocky since the fall of 2011, came to RMC after earning a doctorate in English with a specialization in Nineteenth-Century British Literature from the University of South Florida-Tampa.

Throughout the academic year, you might find Precious working with RMC students on the college newspaper The Summit. Or, you'll find her helping students with their Business Writing. When she is not working with students, Precious is usually researching British literature, writing poetry, or crafting another children’s book. She also serves as the editor for ABO Public's "Blue Room," which is an interactive forum for women in the arts.

Precious is a member of the Rocky Mountain Modern Language Association and the Society of Children’s Book Writers & Illustrators.
