Biography

I belong to MAA (Mathematical Association of America), AMS (American Mathematical Society), AAUW (American Association of University Women), lifetime member of NCTM (National Council of Teachers of Mathematics), Board Member for the Montana Governor's Cup Marathon, Team Captain for the Rocky Walkers - Relay for Life Team, and Yellowstone Rimrunners. I have received the Ossie Abrams Faculty Achievement Award four times (1996, 2000, 2003, and 2004). I also received the ASRMC Outstanding Faculty Award in 1997. I have taught at RMC since Fall of 1994.

What do you do outside of class? 

If I'm not running, walking my dogs, or spending time with my husband, I'm usually busy with one of the organizations that I volunteer for.  I spend a lot of time helping with Relay for Life and also volunteering with the Montana Governor's Cup Marathon.   

What is your favorite getaway location?  

Detroit Lakes, MN.  I love spending time on the lake and fishing with my family.  My morning run around the lake is the best!    

What is your favorite thing about RMC?  

I love that RMC is a small college and I am able to get to know so many of the students.  It's wonderful to get to know a student during his or her freshman year and be able to continue that relationship as he or she continues on through college.
