needed to become a successful basketball player.This is a great opportunity for aspiring basketball players to gain an understanding of the game, practice the fundamentals, and learn the importance of team play. This camp is designed to give each camper instruction about the fundamentals of the game of basketball. Campers will leave with specific drills to help develop their guard and post skills. Each camper will be given quality instruction and individual attention to his game. To take the next step in your game, bring your best attitude to camp and you will learn the proper techniques and dedication it takes to become the player you have always dreamed of becoming. Fly Fishing-Get Hooked

Requirements: Each student should bring a 5-6 weight fly rod, reel and line, and two 7.5 foot leaders. Learn to fly fish and become comfortable with the major aspects of the sport including: equipment, stream reading, entomology, techniques, fly tying, casting, knots, safety and etiquette. The culmination of the class will include a field trip to a lake to test skills and flies tied during class.Each student must bring a sack lunch each day. Camp fee includes a t-shirt.

Developing individual technique and love for the game is the focus of this fun and entertaining experience. Campers will be exposed to the fundamentals of soccer using the game's approach to teaching.Small-sided games give the players the ability to practice what they have learned in a game-like situation. Each camper will receive a soccer ball and a Rocky soccer t-shirt.

The Battlin' Bear football staff at Rocky Mountain College is excited to give
kids ages 6 to 13 the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of every phase of
football: offense, defense, and special teams. The emphasis will be on
developing the football skills at every position: offensive/defensive linemen,
linebacker, defensive back, quarterback, running back, wide receiver, kicker,
punter, etc. Campers need shirt, shorts and shoes/cleats.

We will model the heads and hands for a puppet from clay, then make a body from found materials, costume it, construct a simple control mechanism, and produce a short but creative play for parents and other students.
#S 100-2 Polymer Clay
Instructor: Barbara Morrison Room 15 L Tech Hall
Students will learn a variety of methods using polymer clay-extruding, millefiore, mold-making, using clay for transfers and printing. Each day we will look at a different use for the clay-jewelry, figure sculpture illustration.
#S 100-3 Watercolor Painting
Instructor: Mana Lesman Jewelry Room in Basement of Tech Hall
Landscape, still life and a student's choice of subject from a photograph will be developed fro a drawing to a painting. Techniques learned will include transparent watercolors with hands-on practice in clear washes, graded washes, wet-on-wet, and dry brushing.

Students will learn basic hand-building techniques ie., pinching, coiling and slab building. These techniques will be applied to construction of creative figures.
#S 100-5 Advanced Clay

For students who have completed beginning clay. Students will continue to widen their knowledge of hand-building techniques and work on the potter's wheel.
#S 100-6 Drawing
Instructor: Julie Pederson-Atkins Room 15 R Tech Hall
Imagination, inspiration and creativity will be developed in this class. Students will explore the art of drawing through one-of-a-kind creations.
#S 100-7 Kite Building
Instructor: Terry Zee Lee & Drake Smith Room 15 B Tech Hall
Taught by prize-winning kite builders, this class is for beginning and intermediate students. Basic kite shapes, mechanics of kite flight, how to read the wind and gain a new perspective and connection with the air, light and sky.
#S 100-8 Creative Movement
Instructor: Lacee Jaskot Room 14 Tech Hall
Students will be learning to creatively move their bodies by stimulating their imaginations and promoting their creativity through what is know as a performing art or dance. Through the use of musci and their own bodies, students will be able to visually create pieces that will communicate stories.
