Clara Klindt Athletic Hall of Fame

Each year, Rocky Mountain College inducts outstanding scholar-athletes, achievers, and friends of the athletic program into the prestigious Clara Klindt Athletic Hall of Fame. Inductees are honored at the annual Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet. This banquet is an important time for the Offices of Alumni Relations and Athletics to commemorate deserving leaders for their efforts and contributions to Rocky Mountain College athletics. These men and women may be alumni of RMC or any of its predecessor institutions.

2015 Hall of Fame Inductees

Rocky graduates Bill Hogan, Don Mast, and Christine Schmitt-McFadyean, as well as the 1950-51 men’s basketball team will be inducted into the 2015 Rocky Mountain College Clara Klindt Athletic Hall of Fame on September 11, 2015 (see full press release).

The Hall of Fame induction events will begin on September 11, 2015, at 5:30 p.m., with a social hour in the Great Room in Prescott Hall on RMC's campus, followed by the induction banquet and dinner at 6:00 p.m.

The 2015 inductees, along with current members of the Hall of Fame in attendance, will also be recognized during a ceremony at half time of the Rocky vs. MSU-Northern football game on September 12, 2015.

How to Submit a Nomination

The deadline to submit a nominee or team for Hall of Fame is March 15 , with the induction ceremony/banquet set for Hall of Fame weekend in the fall. The criteria for consideration and nomination form are both available online at or by contacting Rocky athletic director Bruce Parker at

There will be three categories considered for induction: They include Rocky student-athletes, teams, coaches and athletic directors who have distinguished themselves, along with alumnus who have made major contributions in the field of athletics at either the high school, college or professionals levels. Student-athletes and teams must wait 10 years after their final season to be eligible, while coaches and athletes directors have a five-year waiting period. There is no time requirement for individuals who have made major contributions elsewhere.

In addition to the Hall of Fame recognition, an Outstanding Contributor Award will also be presented to salute a person who has contributed greatly to Rocky athletics either monetarily or through service to the school’s athletic program. The recipient will not be a Hall of Fame inductee, but the award will be handed out as part of the ceremony.

The school’s Hall of Fame board will review the Hall of Fame and Outstanding Contributor nominees and make its selections by  April 15 . Inductees, teams and the outstanding contributor will be notified by  May 1 . There will be a maximum of three individual inductees annually, excluding team inductions.

Teams selected to the Hall of Fame will also be included in the school’s Ring of Honor.
