About the Hall of Fame

Each year, Rocky Mountain College inducts outstanding scholar-athletes, achievers, and friends of athletics into the prestigious RMC Hall of Fame. Inductees are honored at the annual fall awards banquet. These men and women may be alumni of Rocky or any of its predecessor institutions. Hall of Fame plaques can be viewed in the trophy room of the Fortin Center.

Hirsch, Horn run routes into Rocky Hall of Fame

When wide receiver Darrell Hirsch was wearing his Rocky Mountain College uniform from 1995-98, he was known as a fearless player who could make the tough catches over the middle and take a big hit.

On Saturday afternoon when he and teammate Chris Horn, another Rocky great and good-hands guy, are introduced at halftime as the latest inductees into the school's athletic Hall of Fame, Hirsch said his emotions may finally get the best of him.

Rocky to honor Horn, Hirsch

Chris Horn and Darrell Hirsch, a dynamic pass-catching duo for Rocky Mountain College from 1995-98, will be inducted into the school's Clara Klindt Athletic Hall of Fame later this month.

They will be introduced during halftime of Rocky's Sept. 26 game against Montana Tech. A dinner and induction ceremony will follow the football game at 6:30 p.m. in the Great Hall of Prescott Commons on the Rocky campus.

Horn and Hirsch, who were All-America wide receivers during their playing days, helped the Bears qualify for the NAIA playoffs for the first time in school history in 1998.
