Rocky Mountain College has a rich tradition of athletic excellence.  Legendary coaches such as Herb Klindt and Frank Mathew helped pave the way for Battlin' Bear athletics as it is today.  Overall, Rocky participates in 12 intercollegiate sports that are sanctioned by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Frontier Conference.  Two of Rocky's sports, men's ski racing and women's ski racing, are a part of the United States Collegiate Ski Association (USCSA) and the Grand Teton Conference. Cheerleading is also a part of the Rocky athletics landscape.  Here is a list of the athletics at Rocky Mountain College:

In all, nearly one-third of the students at Rocky participate in athletics.  From football games at Herb Klindt Field (aka the 'Rocky Bowl'), to basketball and volleyball games at the newly remodeled Fortin Center, to soccer matches at Wendy's Field, Rocky's athletic atmosphere is some of the finest in the region.
