2013 Summer Camp Info
Each summer, Rocky Mountain College hosts a number of camps. Athletic campers learn fundamentals, technique, strengthening, and safety important to their sport. The Summer Art Academy offers opportunities to explore a wide-range of artistic mediums from professional artists. Each camp is offered every year. Times, dates, and costs for 2013 sessions will be updated as they are determined.
Battlin' Bear Youth Football - July 9-11, 2013
9:00 a.m. - Noon
Ages: 6 - 13
Cost: $75
The RMC football coaches and the Battlin' Bear football staff at Rocky Mountain College are excited to give kids ages 6 to 13 the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of every phase of football: offense, defense, and special teams. The emphasis will be on developing the football skills at every position: offensive/defensive linemen, linebacker, defensive back, quarterback, running back, wide receiver, kicker, punter, etc. Campers need shirts, shorts, and shoes/cleats. Camp fee includes Battlin' Bear football camp t-shirt. Prizes will be given away daily.
Important information:
- All sessions are taught and supervised by RMC coaches and staff
- This is a completely non-contact camp
Big Man Football Camp- June 14-15, 2013

Grades: 9-12
Cost: $130 Overnight (Dorms + Meals), $105 Day Camper (No Dorms +Meals), $80 Commuter (No Dorms -Meals)
The Big Sky Big Man Camp is to help lineman develop their technique as well as their physical and psychological character. Players will have the opportunity to receive specialized instruction from various college football coaches. The camp features coaches from many of the Frontier Conference schools and representatives from the Big Shy Conference as well. This special process is for a demanding position that will ultimately determine the success or failure of a team.
Battlin' Bear Basketball Camp - June10-12, 2013

Battlin' Basketball Camp is designed to help build a strong foundation of the fundamentals needed to become a successful basketball player. This is a great opportunity for aspiring basketball players to gain an understanding of the game, practice the fundamentals, and learn the importance of team play. Good attitude and having fun are emphasized throughout the week. Camp fee includes a free t-shirt and basketball.
Soccer Academy - June 17-21, 2013

Ages: Kindergarten - 8
Cost: $110
Developing individual technique and love for the game is the focus of this fun and entertaining experience. Campers will be exposed to the fundamentals of soccer using the game's approach to teaching. Small-sided games give the players the ability to practice what they have learned in a game-like situation. Each camper will receive a soccer ball and an RMC soccer t-shirt.
Girls High School Soccer Training Program - July 9 - Aug 1, 2013

Cost: $150
RMC Head Coach Richard Duffy will hold a four week training program (12 sessions) specifically for girls entering grades 9 through 12. The program consists of a mixture of conditioning, technical training, and tactical workouts that will prepare players for the demands of the high school game.
Boys High School Soccer Training Program - July 9 - Aug 1, 2013

Campers will be separated according to age and skill level to ensure an optimal learning and competitive environment. Fundamentals, fun, and teamwork will be stressed throughout the camp on the offensive and defensive ends of the court. Camp fee includes a t-shirt and basketball.
Volleyball Camp - Elite Skills and Competition: June 17-19, 2013

This camp will emphasize individual skills for the elite player combined with team concepts for athletes in grades 9 through 12. The camp focuses on all aspects of the game. Players or teammatesthat come together will have the opportunity to compete as a team in the evening sessions. Evening sessions will consist of competition. Parents are welcome to watch. Seventeen hours of instruction will take place during camp. Camp fee includes a t-shirt and volleyball.

Volleyball Camp - Elemenatary and Junior High: June 20-21, 2013

RMC Golf Camp: June 5 - 7, 2013

Ages: 6 - 14
Cost: $75
This camp will work with each student to develop the basics of the golf swing. Participants will work on several aspects of the game including: putting, chipping, and the full swing. Camp will include various fun contests and competitions. Each student is encouraged to bring their own clubs or some will be provided for them. Camp fee includes t-shirt.
Fly Fishing Camp: June 3 - 7 2013
Hugh Huntley, Instructor - Magic City Fly Fishing Club

Age 10 - 14
Cost: $156
The Billings Magic City Fly Fishing Club will lead a class for young people. Each student should bring a 5 - 6 weight fly rod, line, reel, and two 7.5 foot leaders. Those who don't have equipment will be supplied by the club. Learn to fly fish and become comfortable with the major aspects of the sport including: equipment, stream reading, entomology, techniques, fly fishing, casting, knots, safety, and etiquette. The culmination of the class will include a field trip to a mountain lake to test the skills and flies tied during class. Students must bring a sack lunch. Camp fee includes a t-shirt.
RMC Cheerleading Camp: June 3 - 5
Age: 3-4 Yr Olds 10:00 AM -Noon Cost $60
Grade: K- 8 9:00 AM -Noon Cost $65
The Rocky Mountain College cheerleaders will assist young aspiring cheerleaders in building a foundation based on fundamentals, physical activities, safety, and all the fun cheerleading has to offer. The camp will provide instruction catered to all ages and experience levels. Camp fee includes a t-shirt.
