RMC's Kiprono places 8th in NAIA marathon
GULF SHORES, Ala. -- Senior Noah Kiprono of Rocky Mountain College placed eighth in the marathon on a hot and humid Saturday morning at the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. It was his fourth straight top 10 finish in the marathon -- and second consecutive year he earned All-America recognition. The 26-year-old Kiprono, who is from Kenya, was clocked at 2:40:39.20 for the 26.2 miles. Sophomore Arya Bahreini of Oklahoma City won the event with a time of 2:29:06.80. Rocky's 3,200-meter relay places 8th at nationals
GULF SHORES, Ala. -- Rocky Mountain College's 3,200-meter relay team placed eighth in the finals on Friday night at the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The Battlin' Bears ran a 7:55.02 at Mickey Miller Blackwell Stadium. The Rocky team included Fred Petsch, Johnny Barnes, Colton Wood and Shawn Peden, who earned All-America recognition for their performance.
