Director of Golf
Randy Northrop, who was the coach of both the golf programs since their inception, will remain with both teams, but has taken the role of director of golf beginning in 2012.
SInce the 1998 inception of the women's program and the 2000 start for the men, Northrop has guided both teams to great success. The men's program has won four conference championships and finished 2nd five other years. Two seasons ago, they qualified for their first national tournament and finished 13th in the nation.
The women's team have won the conference championship 11 of the 12 years that Northrop has coached at RMC. They have the longest current streak of qualifying for the national tournament of any program at RMC with 12 straight years. The RMC women have five top ten finishes and have finished 3rd in the nation twice. In 2010, the women's team again won the Frontier Conference and finished 13th at the national tournament.
Randy is married to his wife Camie (Finberg), who is an RMC graduate and former basketball player at RMC. They have three children, Samantha (19), Kayla (16), and Kyler (6).
Head Golf Coach
Aaron Pohle begins his first season as the golf coach at Rocky Mountain College, replacing the newly named director of golf, Randy Northrop. Coach Pohle is a 2009 graduate of RMC and earned his degree in management and business. During his two seasons of playing golf for the Battlin' Bears, Pohle earned second team all-conference honors and was the team captain in 2009. Prior to golfing at RMC, he spent two seasons at Spokane Community College.
Coach Pohle currently serves as the head golf professional at Yegen Golf Club in Billings.
