Position Description

The Department of Mathematics at Rocky Mountain College invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant professor-level to begin August 2014. The position requires teaching an average course load of 12 credits each semester, service to the College, and participation in curriculum and course development. Courses to be taught include service courses such as college algebra, statistics, and mathematics courses across the undergraduate curriculum.

Qualifications

The successful candidate should possess a strong background in mathematics and a demonstrated excellence as an instructor. A Ph.D. in mathematics education is preferred for this position. Candidates with a master’s degree in mathematics or mathematics education will also be considered.
