Position Description

Reporting to the president, the chief financial officer is charged with the oversight and management of the accounting and financial interests of the College. Working with senior management and the Board of Trustees, the CFO is responsible for the oversight of all assets of the institution, risk management, and compliance. The CFO is also responsible for the preparation of reports to the Board, including financial audits.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in accounting – a master’s degree in accounting or related field and/or a CPA license is preferred – and have outstanding credentials both as an effective budget administrator and a strategic financial analyst. Three to five years of proven management and leadership experience that includes current non-profit accounting practices and finance in higher education are preferred. The ideal candidate will be an ethical decision maker, an effective communicator, and both an inspiring leader and committed team member.
