Position Description

The Director of Major Gifts is responsible for managing relationships with prospective major and planned gift donors with the expectation to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward these prospects. This position works collaboratively with and in support of the Vice President for Institutional Advancement, the President, other advancement staff, Board members, and other College leaders to cultivate and solicit donors for institution-wide priorities.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must possess written and oral communication skills, computer skills, and have the ability to speak well in public settings. A bachelor’s degree is required as well as a valid driver’s license. At least three years of experience in fundraising with experience closing gifts at $10,000 and above is preferred as well as experience with fundraising for non-profit institutions.
