Community Service Work-Study Program
This program is available to eligible* non-profit organizations
The Community Service Work-Study Program is a federally funded program designed to encourage students to work for eligible non-profit agencies. The student's wages are shared by the nonprofit organization and Rocky Mountain College federal work-study program. Employers can utilize this program to hire work-study positions and/or compensate student interns.
To Participate: Employers must complete a Community Service Work-Study agreement. To obtain the agreement, call 406.657.1039 or email Career Services. Employers will be responsible for providing Career Services with a job description for each work-study/internship position available and for signing student time cards at the end of each month.
Potential student workers are not screened by Rocky Mountain College. If your organization requires references or background checks prior to employment, you are responsible for requesting and obtaining the necessary information. By choosing to participate in this program, your organization agrees that no student will be denied work or subjected to different treatment on the grounds of race, color, national origin, age or sex.
* In compliance with Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965, agency work will not involve religious or political activity or be for the benefit of limited-membership organizations.
