Biography

Nick Plunkey joined the RMC faculty in 2010 after prior teaching experience at the University of Nevada, Reno as a lecturer, where he taught advanced poetry workshops, literature, and composition. Advised by Mark Waldo and Susan Tchudi, he completed his Ph.D. in composition and rhetoric at UNR. He specializes in interdisciplinary writing, visual rhetoric, writing center theory and practice, and creative writing pedagogy. His poetry has appeared in such publications as the Rio Grande Review and Red River Review. Outside of class, Dr. Plunkey enjoys disc golf, tennis, golf, and fishing.
