Helen Robbins

Biography

Prior to pursuing a career as a Physician Assistant, I worked in the agriculture and agrichemical industry after completing bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Animal Science. After a 10-year career in this arena I went to PA school and spent the following eight years working in several specialties including family practice, gynecologic oncology and gastroenterology. In 2016 I accepted a position as founding and principle faculty at Florida Gulf Coast University’s MPAS program where I taught courses in physiology, pharmacology, medical communications, physical diagnosis, clinical skills and evidence-based medicine while continuing to work part-time clinically in gastroenterology. I ended my tenure at FGCU in August 2020 after my husband and I relocated to a more rural area. I currently continue to work part-time clinically in GI.
