Johanna Thompson earned her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona, in 2007. She started off her career in acute care, but quickly found her passion in the Neonatal ICU. It is here that she built a therapy program to serve this fragile population and their families. She is passionate about infants and teaching their families how to advocate for their needs. She is a lactation specialist as well as certified in infant massage. Ms. Thompson is a Certified Neonatal Therapist and an active member of the National Association of Neonatal Therapists (NANT). She is passionate about inspiring students in pediatrics and OT. Johanna is thrilled to have been able to collaborate with Rocky Mountain College OTD students in research projects, including the NICU and a maternal-infant playgroup.

Ms. Thompson is a Montana native and lives here with her husband and two children. They enjoy exploring the outdoors, and spend a lot of time fishing, camping and hiking.
