Occupational Therapy Doctorate Program Officially Accredited

Blending Batter and Building Traditions
June 19, 2020 - The RMC SOTA fundraising team has been gathering recipes to create a cookbook that will be continued as a tradition for the program. The cookbook will feature student and faculty recipes both new and old and will be sold as a fundraiser benefiting RMC SOTA. Read more


Fill Fridge Fundraiser
May 15, 2020 - The RMC OTD students have been filling the program's fridge each week with grocery items to support local families in need. The community service committee has joined forces with Grace Point Billings to deliver boxes of grocery items to local families each week. Read more


Inaugural Rural Health Research Symposium
January 27, 2020 - The Occupational Therapy department recently held the inaugural Rural Health Research Symposium. RMC OTD students showcased their research, which includes diverse topics such as vocational rehabilitation in the women’s prison system, Parkinson’s disease and boxing as an occupational means for therapy, as well as sensory exploration in NICU babies, among others. RMC OTD Welcomes Class of 2023
January 16, 2020 - The Rocky Mountain College Occupational Therapy Doctorate program welcomed their second cohort, The Class of 2023! The class is comprised of 29 students from 14 different states. Read more


OTD Students Advocate In Washington D.C.
September 30, 2019 - On September 23, 2019, three Occupational Therapy Doctorate students attended the American’s Occupational Therapy Association’s (AOTA) Hill Day in Washington, DC. Read more


Measuring Occupational Performance
This summer, in the program’s “Measuring Occupational Performance” class, students learn how to select, assess, and analyze data collected from a wide variety of standardized and non-standardized tests and evaluations. Students learn population-specific assessments that prepare students to engage pediatric, adult, and mental health clients. Read more


Summer Term: From Spring Blossoms Summer
Students in the inaugural class finished their first term on Thursday, May 2nd. The Summer term begins on Monday, May 13th, and will conclude the second week of July. Read more


Community Service: Crotcheting Sleeping Mats
The program’s student organization invited local Billings’ community group, Sleeping Mats with a Purpose, to teach students how to use “plarn”, or plastic yarn, to crochet sleeping mats for homeless or transient persons. Read more


Students and Faculty Attend National Conference
A handful of students and a majority of faculty attended the American Occupational Therapy Association’s National Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana, the first week of April. Read more

The Rocky Mountain College Occupational Therapy Doctorate Program faculty and staff hosted an interactive education session for students participating in the MedStart Camp-RiverStone Health.  Read more
