The 2019 Student Symposium and Biology

Biology students presenting

The Rocky Mountain College Student Symposium highlights academic pursuits across campus, showcasing student projects and faculty collaborations. The symposium includes research from all disciplines and allows students to learn from each other about a wide range of research topics. Research is presented as short lectures, posters, demonstrations or exhibits.

The participating undergraduate students have the unique opportunity to formally present their research experiences while informing the community of the scholarly endeavors of Rocky Mountain College. During the 6th Annual Student Symposium held on April 10, 2019, 13 biology students presented research on topics ranging from viral causes of fish tumors in Montana waterways to characterization of a novel zebrafish viral protein.

Rocky Mountain College’s Biology program aims to keep the momentum going and continue to promote and encourage student-led research across campus. Find out more about the Student Symposium by visiting: https://www.rocky.edu/academics/academic-programs/other-programs/student-symposium .
