Guide to North American Birds 
An online field guide to North American Birds from the National Audubon Society.

"Hawkcount.org is a web-based database that attempts to provide data recording and reporting services for raptor migration data. Hawkwatch sites report their hourly or daily observations here; the data is recorded in a format that may later be retrieved, reported, and analyzed. Hawkcount.org started its life as the reporting mechanism for Holiday Beach Migration Observatory in early 2000. Since then, it has expanded to include site reports from over two hundred hawk watch sites in Mexico, the U.S., Panama and Canada."

SORA, the Searchable Ornithological Research Archive 
"SORA is the world's first and largest open access ornithological publications archive. This resource is the product of collaborations between the American Ornithologists Union, the Cooper Ornithological Society, the Association of Field Ornithologists, the Wilson Ornithological Society and the University of New Mexico Libraries. SORA provides access to an extensive library of ornithological literature of international scope, and detailed material documenting the history of ornithology in North America over the last 120 years."

"The world-wide bird photograph collection of The Academy of Natural Sciences. With more than 160,000 photographs representing over 7,000 species." Allows users to see images of birds, however, images cannot be used elsewhere without permission.

Western Soundscape Archive 
"Offers representative sounds of more than 570 different Western bird species, all of the region's vocalizing frogs and toads, dozens of reptiles and more than 100 different types of mammals. ... The project's geographic focus includes the eleven contiguous western states - Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming - as well as baseline sound monitoring in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska."
