Summer 2020 Camps at Rocky Mountain College

Rocky Mountain College hosts a number of summer camps for youth.  Please check the full menu of camps for the Summer 2020 Season below.  Please note times, dates, and costs for each camp will be updated as they are determined.

RMC Battlin' Bear Youth Football Camp (2 sessions)

Dates: Session 2, July 20-23, 2020 (camp is full); Session 1, July 27 - 30, 2020 (camp is full)

Times: 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. (Session 1) , 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. (Session 2)  

Location: RMC Herb Klindt Field 

Parking: Please park in RMC parking lots off of Rimrock Road - no permit required

Cost: $90.00 (includes t-shirt) 

Ages/Grades: 6 - 13 years

The RMC football coaches and the Battlin' Bear football staff at Rocky Mountain College are excited to give kids ages 6 to 13 the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of every phase of football: offense, defense, and special teams. The emphasis will be on developing the football skills at every position: offensive/defensive linemen, linebacker, defensive back, quarterback, running back, wide receiver, kicker, punter, etc. Campers need shirts, shorts, and shoes/cleats. Prizes will be given away daily.

Important information:

  • Camp is taught and supervised by RMC coaches and staff
  • This is a completely non-contact camp


Billings Showcase Football Camp (2 sessions)

Dates: July 12, 2020 (Session 1 - First 50 participants); July 27, 2020 (Session 2 - First 50 participants) 

Times: Session 1 - Registration begins at 11 a.m. with camp from 11:45 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.;  Session 2 - Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. with camp from 6:15 - 8:30 p.m. 

Location: RMC Herb Klindt Field 

Parking: Please park in RMC parking lots off of Rimrock Road - no permit required

Cost: $35

Ages/Grades: Entering 9th - 12th graders and post-high school players with college eligibility.

The RMC football coaches and the Battlin' Bear football staff at Rocky Mountain College are excited to help aspiring football players hone in on their position skills.  This camp will challenge players using agility stations, provide offensive and defensive (players to select one) group skills and drills, host kicker competitions and one-on-one competitions.  Additionally, participants will have their official measurements/times recorded in - height, weight, 40-yard dash, 5-10-5 shuttle, and broad jump.

Important information:

  • All participants need to bring their own cleats
  • Quarterbacks and kickers need to bring their own football(s)


RMC Battlin' Bear Boys Basketball Camp

At this time, Rocky Mountain College will not be accepting registrations of campers who do not reside in the state of Montana to ensure the safety of our staff, faculty and residents. We are sorry for this inconvenience.

Dates: June 8-10, 2020 (Session 1 - grades 5-8 are full, grades 1-4 still open) ; June 29-July 1, 2020 (Session 2 - grades 5-8 are full, grades 1-4 still open

Times: Grades 5-8 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m., grades 1-4 from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. for both sessions 

Location: RMC Fortin Education Center First Interstate Court 

Parking: Please park in RMC parking lots off of Rimrock Road - no permit required. 

Cost: $95.00 (includes t-shirt); $10 late fee for registrations after June 22, 2020

Battlin' Bear Basketball Camp is designed to help build a strong foundation of the fundamentals needed to become a successful basketball player. This is a great opportunity for aspiring basketball players to gain an understanding of the game, practice the fundamentals, and learn the importance of team play. Good attitude and having fun are emphasized throughout the week. 

Important information:

  • Registrations will be limited to the first 45 campers per session.
  • Campers MUST BRING their own basketball, snacks and water bottle. A basketball will be provided if you don't have one.
  • Sanitizing protocols will be in place for bathrooms, floors, and equipment.

RMC Volleyball Elite Skills and Competition Camp

At this time, Rocky Mountain College will not be accepting registrations of campers who do not reside in the state of Montana to ensure the safety of our staff, faculty and residents. We are sorry for this inconvenience.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the State/Federal mandated safety protocols, Rocky Mountain College has made necessary changes to the summer camp program. 

Dates: June 14 - 16, 2020

Ages/Grades: 9th - 12th grade

Grades 11-12 (this camp is full)
There will be no overnight option or meals option. Day camp only.
Camp will be June 14-16 from 9 - 11 a.m., with a lunch/snack break 11 a.m. - 12 p.m., and resume camp from 12 - 2 p.m. Capped at 45. Camper must bring lunch/snack.

Grades 9-10 (this camp is full)
There will be no overnight option or meals option. Day camp only.
Camp will be June 14-16 from 3 - 5 p.m., with a dinner/snack break 5 - 6 p.m., and resume camp from 6 - 8 p.m. Capped at 45. Camper must bring dinner/snack.

Cost: $150 (includes t-shirt and volleyball)

This camp will emphasize individual skills for the elite player combined with team concepts for athletes in grades 9 through 12. The camp focuses on all aspects of the game. Players or teammates that come together will have the opportunity to compete as a team in the second sessions. Second sessions will consist of competition.

RMC Soccer Academy

Dates: August 17-21, 2020

Times: 9:00 am - Noon

Location: RMC Wendy's Soccer Field

Parking: Please park in RMC parking lots off of Rimrock Road - no permit required.

Cost: $125.00 (includes t-shirt and soccer ball)

Ages/Grades: Kindergarten - 8th grade

Developing individual technique and love for the game is the focus of this fun and entertaining experience. Campers will be exposed to the fundamentals of soccer using the game's approach to teaching. Small-sided games give the players the ability to practice what they have learned in a game-like situation.


RMC Soccer Preseason / ID Camp

Dates: August 3 - 7, 2020

Times: 8:00 am - 9:00 pm - scheduled sessions to include two 90-minute field sessions and one 60-minute classroom session (Monday - Thursday); 8:00 am - Noon (Friday)

Location: RMC Wendy's Soccer Field and RMC Herb Klindt Field 

Parking: Please park in RMC parking lots off of Rimrock Road - no permit required. 

Cost: $150.00 (includes t-shirt)

The ideal camp for high school players looking to prepare themselves for the upcoming high school season.  Players will be assigned to a specific team and will receive instruction in technical and tactical field performance followed by classroom sessions focused on nutrition, sports psychology, strength training, and college recruiting.  Additionally participants will perform in 11 vs 11 games. This camp will help prepare individuals and teams for the demands of a high school season in a challenging and competitive environment.
