Rocky Mountain College hosts a number of summer camps for youth.  Please check the full menu of camps for the Summer 2020 Season below.  Please note times, dates, and costs for each camp will be updated as they are determined.

RMC Battlin' Bear Youth Football Camp (2 sessions)

Dates: May 4 - 7, 2020 (Session 1); July 27 - 30, 2020 (Session 2)

Times: 5:30 - 7:30 pm (Session 1); 9:00 - 11:00 am (Session 2)  

Location: RMC Herb Klindt Field 

Parking: Please park in RMC parking lots off of Rimrock Road - no permit required

Cost: $90.00 per session (includes t-shirt) - $30 discount if registered for both RMC Battlin' Bear Youth Football Sessions 1 and 2

The RMC football coaches and the Battlin' Bear football staff at Rocky Mountain College are excited to give kids ages 6 to 13 the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of every phase of football: offense, defense, and special teams. The emphasis will be on developing the football skills at every position: offensive/defensive linemen, linebacker, defensive back, quarterback, running back, wide receiver, kicker, punter, etc. Campers need shirts, shorts, and shoes/cleats. Prizes will be given away daily.

  • All sessions are taught and supervised by RMC coaches and staff
  • This is a completely non-contact camp

Billings Showcase Football Camp (2 sessions)

Dates: June 7, 2020 (Session 1); June 29, 2020 (Session 2)  

Times: 9:00 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. (Session 1); 5:30 -8:45 p.m. (Session 2) 

Location: RMC Herb Klindt Field 

Parking: Please park in RMC parking lots off of Rimrock Road - no permit required

Cost: $30

Ages/Grades: Entering 9th - 12th graders and post-high school players with college eligibility.

The RMC football coaches and the Battlin' Bear football staff at Rocky Mountain College are excited to help aspiring football players hone in on their position skills.  This camp will challenge players using agility stations, provide offensive and defensive (players to select one) group skills and drills, host kicker competitions and one-on-one competitions.  Additionally, participants will have their official measurements/times recorded in - height, weight, 40-yard dash, 5-10-5 shuttle, and broad jump.

Important information:

  • All participants need to bring their own cleats
  • Quarterbacks and kickers need to bring their own football(s)

RMC Battlin' Bear Boys Basketball Camp

Dates: June 8 - 10, 2020 

Times: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.  

Location: RMC Fortin Education Center First Interstate Court 

Parking: Please park in RMC parking lots off of Rimrock Road - no permit required. 

Cost: $95.00 (includes t-shirt and basketball); $10 late fee for registrations after June 2, 2020

Ages/Grades: 1st - 8th grade

Battlin' Bear Basketball Camp is designed to help build a strong foundation of the fundamentals needed to become a successful basketball player. This is a great opportunity for aspiring basketball players to gain an understanding of the game, practice the fundamentals, and learn the importance of team play. Good attitude and having fun are emphasized throughout the week.

RMC Battlin' Bear Girls Basketball Camp

Dates: June 1 - 3, 2020

Times: 9:00 am - Noon 

Location: RMC Fortin Education Center First Interstate Court 

Parking: Please park in RMC parking lots off of Rimrock Road - no permit required. 

Cost: $95.00 (includes t-shirt and basketball); $10 late fee for registrations after May 25, 2020

Ages/Grades: Kindergarten - 8th grade

This is a great opportunity for girls, regardless of ability or skill level, to gain an understanding of the game, practice fundamentals, and learn the importance of team play. Campers will be separated according to age and skill level to ensure an optimal learning and competitive environment. Fundamentals, fun, and teamwork will be stressed throughout the camp on both the offensive and defensive ends of the court.

RMC Volleyball Elite Skills and Competition Camp

Dates: June 14 - 16, 2020

Times: June 14th - 6:00 - 9:30 pm, June 15th and 16th - 9:00 am - Noon, 1:30 - 4:00 pm, and 5:30 - 8:30 pm. Overnight campers check in on June 14th at 5:30 pm.

Location: RMC Fortin Education Center First Interstate Court 

Parking: Please park in RMC parking lots off of Rimrock Road - no permit required. 

Cost: $250.00 with on-site lodging and meals; $225.00 with meals; $150.00 camp only (all rates include t-shirt and volleyball) 

Ages/Grades: 9th - 12th grade

This camp will emphasize individual skills for the elite player combined with team concepts for athletes in grades 9 through 12. The camp focuses on all aspects of the game. Players or teammates that come together will have the opportunity to compete as a team in the evening sessions. Evening sessions will consist of competition, which parents are welcome to watch. Seventeen hours of instruction will take place during the camp.

Dates: June 17 - 19, 2020

Times: 9:00 am - Noon (grades 3 - 6), 1:00 - 4:00 pm (grades 7 - 9)

RMC Soccer Academy

Developing individual technique and love for the game is the focus of this fun and entertaining experience. Campers will be exposed to the fundamentals of soccer using the game's approach to teaching. Small-sided games give the players the ability to practice what they have learned in a game-like situation.

RMC Soccer Preseason / ID Camp

Dates: August 3 - 7, 2020

Times: 8:00 am - 9:00 pm - scheduled sessions to include two 90-minute field sessions and one 60-minute classroom session (Monday - Thursday); 8:00 am - Noon (Friday)

The ideal camp for high school players looking to prepare themselves for the upcoming high school season.  Players will be assigned to a specific team and will receive instruction in technical and tactical field performance followed by classroom sessions focused on nutrition, sports psychology, strength training, and college recruiting.  Additionally participants will perform in 11 vs 11 games. This camp will help prepare individuals and teams for the demands of a high school season in a challenging and competitive environment.


RMC Aviation

Dates: June 9 - 11, 2020

Times: 9:00am - 3:00 pm 

Location:  RMC Flight Operations Center located at the Billings Logan International Airport

Parking: 1801 Aviation Place - Look for Rocky Mountain College Signs

Cost: $250.00

Ages/Grades: 9th - 12th grade (space limited to first 12 registrants)

Includes a flight in a Rocky Mountain College airplane with a skilled FAA certified Flight Instructor, flight in aircraft simulator, hangar and maintenance tours, tours of Air Traffic Control Tower, Charter aircraft company, Billing Airport runways and taxiways. Instruction about aircraft design, flight planning, aerodynamics. The camp is a great exposure for any student considering entering the world of professional aviation.

Fly Fishing Camp

Dates: June 1 - 5, 2020

Times: 9:00 am - 3:00pm (Monday - Thursday) 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (Friday)

Camp Head Instructor(s): Kevin Davis, Magic City Fly Fishers Chapter of Trout Unlimited 

Learn to fly fish and become comfortable with the major aspects of the sport, including equipment, stream reading, entomology, techniques, fly tying, casting a fly rod, knots, safety, and etiquette. The culmination of the class will include a field trip to a lake to test their skills and flies tied during class. Each student needs to bring a 5 or 6 weight fly rod with reel and line, two 7.5 foot 3X leaders, hat, sunglasses (preferably polarized), sunscreen, water bottle, rain coat/jacket, and a sack lunch each day. Students without their own fly rod and reel may utilize club equipment for the duration of the class. 


Art Academy

Dates: June 1 - 5, 2020

Times: 3 sessions (8:30 am - 2:30 pm); 4 sessions (8:30 am - 4:15 pm) 

Location: Tech Hall and the Bair Family Science Center

Parking: Please park in RMC parking lots off of Rimrock Road - no permit required. 

Cost: 3 sessions $250 (YAM members), $225 (YAM siblings), $275 (non YAM members); 4 sessions $300 (YAM members), $275 (YAM siblings), $325 (non YAM members)
