Donation Drives

Halloween for Hunger Food Drive

On Halloween night, the Office of Community Engagement coordinates the collection of food from neighborhoods located near the College. Neighboring residents are contacted ahead of time regarding the event, then college student and staff volunteers collect the food donations when Halloween arrives. All food collected during the Halloween for Hunger event is donated to Family Service, Inc. or Rose Park Elementary School.

Stem Cell/Bone Marrow Donation Drive

Every year in collaboration with the Physician Assistants program, the Offices of Community Engagement and Spiritual Life work together to sign students, staff, faculty and community members up to be potential stem cell donors. This program was started by Rocky Mountain College student Noah Olaff in 2016 who owes his life to a peripheral blood stem cell donation that his sister Esther provided him seven years ago. Students hope a quick swab can save a life.

Yule Log Food Drive

As part of the annual Yule Log festivities, RMC hosts a food drive that benefits Rose Park Elementary School and their efforts to have a food pantry. The food drive specifically collects kid-friendly foods to help keep the pantry stocked.
