Montana Campus Compact (MTCC) is a coalition of colleges and universities that supports civic engagement, service learning and volunteerism across our state. Our work to improve community life and educate students for civic and social responsibility is critically important. Our world requires thoughtful, compassionate, knowledgeable, and engaged leaders. We need a workforce that understands the important role of individuals in a community. Higher education is an excellent place to teach and learn civic engagement.
Rocky Mountain College partners with Montana Campus Compact through hosting an AmeriCorps team (more information below), awarding a Volunteer of the Game and Athlete in Service, and nominating a Newman Civic Fellow.

MTCC’s AmeriCorps supports college access and success across Montana by deploying full time AmeriCorps Leaders and part-time college student AmeriCorps members. Together, leaders with their team provide coaching and support to first generation and low income K-12 students and families across the state of Montana. AmeriCorps members provide a variety of direct service activities such as supporting youth-focused programming, offering college application nights, support with completing FAFSA applications, and norming the idea and practice of going to college.
MTCC AmeriCorps Team members earn an Education Award of $1,289.95 upon successful completion of 300 hours of service. Rocky Mountain College matches the education award up to $1,000. For more information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
