Bear Bash comes to RMC campus April 12

BILLINGS, April 2, 2014 – Excitement is rising on the Rocky Mountain College campus as preparations take place for the annual Bear Bash, the biggest athletic fundraiser of the year. Tickets are still available for the event, as well as table and event sponsorships.

This year’s Bear Bash, scheduled for Saturday, April 12, in the Fortin Education Center at RMC will feature dinner, dancing, and a Calcutta to support the athletic program. Individual tickets are available for $100 each; RMC faculty, staff, and spouses can purchase tickets at a reduced rate of $35 (without a Calcutta entry). Table sponsors are $1,000 and earn eight spots on the Calcutta board. There will be a silent auction where attendees will have the opportunity to bid on entertainment and recreational packages.

Cocktails, a social hour, and silent auction kick off at 6:00 p.m., followed by dinner at 7:00 p.m. and dancing into the evening.

“At Rocky Mountain College, we set the standards for academic and athletic excellence,” said Vice President for Institutional Advancement Kelly Edwards. “We are proud of the legacy we have created and understand that to achieve continued success, it is necessary to continuously invest in our facilities and our student-athletes. Gifts through Bear Bash allow us to do this by providing resources that will go directly to the area with the greatest need. We are able to address our priorities and impact our program in an immediate and positive way.”

This year’s event has much in store as it returns to the RMC campus for the first time in the history of the event. “It is exciting to host people at our own facility … This athletic fundraiser benefits all of the athletic programs at RMC by awarding scholarships, while also providing the tools and equipment to be successful” said Event Coordinator and Head Cheerleading Coach Kelsey Daer.

One-third of Rocky Mountain College students are student-athletes, participating in collegiate sports throughout the year – RMC students do it all. Tickets are available online at or from any of the RMC coaches. For more information contact Kelsey Daer at 406.657.1171 or
