Teen wunderkinds of the Magic City String Quartet perform quartets Tuesday, May 6

BILLINGS, April 30, 2014 – Tuesday, May 6, at 7:00 p.m., teen wunderkinds of the Magic City String Quartet perform two quartets in the Great Room of Prescott Hall. All four are members of the Billings Symphony Orchestra and are multiple award-winners.

First violin Rosie Weiss, second violin Ana Strong, violist Taylor Shea, and cellist Rebecca Strong will play Mark O'Connor's Quartet #1 and Dvorak's “American” quartet, Op. 96. All four have studied with teachers in Billings and nationally. Most recently, Taylor and Rebecca are graduates of Interlochen Art Summer Arts Camp in Michigan, and both Rosie and Taylor travel this summer to participate in the Tanglewood Music Festival in the Berkshire Hills of Massachusetts.

 David Strong, professor of philosophy and environmental studies at RMC, will be in rapt attendance as Rebecca, 17, and Ana, 13, are his daughters. The concert is free and open to the public.
