RMC announces invitation to Bear Bash April 17-18
BILLINGS, March 19, 2015 – Rocky Mountain College is preparing for its upcoming Bear Bash, which will be held on April 17-18, 2015. Bear Bash is an annual fundraiser hosted by the RMC athletic department. Proceeds from the event go directly to impact the athletic community and the entire campus, from scholarships to institutional improvements.
“With around one-third of RMC students participating in varsity athletics, the athletic program is an integral part of the College,” said RMC Director of Annual Fund Jill Hirschi. “Gifts given through Bear Bash allow RMC to continue achieving success by investing in our student-athletes and facilities. Bear Bash helps provide the resources that will impact the program in a number of ways, from scholarships to equipment.”
Bear Bash weekend will kick off with a round of golf at Peter Yegen Golf Club on Friday, April 17, at 1:00 p.m. Lunch is included, along with prizes. Tickets are $125 for an individual or $400 for a team of four people.
On Saturday, April 18, the 2015-2016 Battlin’ Bear football team will hold a Spring football scrimmage beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the Herb Klindt Field. Admission to the scrimmage is free.
The Bear Bash banquet will begin with cocktails, social hour, and a silent auction on Saturday evening at 6:00 p.m. in the Fortin Education Center on the RMC campus. Dinner will begin at 7:00 p.m., followed by a Calcutta to support the athletic program. The evening will also include a performance by RMC alumnus and comedian, Lukas Seely (’04). Seely has gained national recognition, with performances at The Hollywood Improve, The Comedy Store, and TV appearances on FOX and Showtime. Tickets for the dinner are $100 per person, and there are also table sponsorships available.
“We invite everyone to come out and join us, as we recognize and celebrate the hard work and great successes of our student-athletes, coaches, and the entire RMC athletic program,” added Hirschi.
