Rocky men’s basketball signs JUCO guard

BILLINGS, Mont. – May 28, 2015 – Rocky Mountain College men’s basketball coach Bill Dreikosen has announced the signing of Jelani Hardaway to an NAIA letter of intent.

Hardaway, a 6-foot-3 guard, joins the Battlin’ Bears after a successful career at Diablo Valley College (Pleasant Hill, Calif.). This season, Hardaway played in all 30 games for the Vikings, while averaging 9.5 points, four rebounds and 2.5 assists. Hardaway shot nearly 41 percent from the 3-point line and hit on 45 percent of his two point attempts. He connected on 65 percent (34-52) of his free throw attempts.

“I really like (Hardaway’s) size, athleticism, and versatility,” Dreikosen said. “He is explosive in the open floor and can play a lot of different positions.”

Hardaway is from Oakland where he attended Freedom High School.
