Rocky men’s soccer to host Marymount (Calif.) in first round of National Tourney
BILLINGS, Mont. – November 16, 2015 – The Rocky Mountain College men’s soccer team will host the the Marymount California University Mariners, champions of the California Pacific tournament, in the first round of the NAIA Men’s Soccer National Championship at Wendy’s Field on the Rocky campus, Saturday, Nov. 21. Action begins at 1 p.m.
The 32-team event will get underway with 16 national championship opening round pairings at campus locations on Nov. 21. The opening round winners will advance to the national championship final site in Delray Beach, Fla., set for Nov. 30 – Dec. 5.
The Battlin’ Bears, winners of the regular season and Cascade Collegiate Conference tournament titles, finished the season ranked No. 10 after compiling a 16-2-2 record. The Mariners enter the tournament 15-3-1.
Because this is an NAIA National Tournament, no passes will be accepted. Admission to the event is $8 for adults and $5 for students.
