Rocky football signs West’s Bolin, six others

BILLINGS, Mont. – May 13, 2015 – Rocky Mountain College football coach Brian Armstrong has announced the recent signing of seven future Battlin’ Bears, including Billings West’s Brock Bolin, to NAIA letter of intents.

Bolin (6’1, 170 pounds) was a two-year starter at wide receiver and four-time letterman for the Golden Bears.

The list includes four who hail from the state of Idaho: R.C. Nazemi is a 6-foot-3, 205-pound defensive lineman from Coeur d’Alene High School; Si Hoskins  (6-foot, 180-pounds) earned second team All-State honors while playing wide receiver at Blackfoot High School; Justin Farnsworth is a 6-foot-2, 270-pound offensive lineman who was a two-time All-North Idaho, All-Conference, and first team All-State for the Post Falls High School Trojans; Thomas Roman (6-foot, 210 pounds) is also from Post Falls High School, where he played linebacker.

Logan Ferda (6-foot, 200-pounds) joins the Battlin’ Bears after a stellar four-year career at Highwood (Mont.) High School. He helped lead the Mountaineers to back-to-back State Class C 6-man championships in 2013 and 2014. Those two seasons saw Ferda earn All-State and All-Conference honors.

The last signee is Matt Jones from Belt Valley High School, a 6-foot, 235-pound defensive lineman.

“We are very excited about our latest group of student athletes who have committed to our program,” Armstrong said. “These guys fit the mold: good students who will make an impact on our campus as well as the football field.”

Armstrong anticipates that nearly 130 players will report for fall camp, which is scheduled to begin Aug. 8.

The Battlin’ Bears kick off the 2015 season playing their first three games on Herb Klindt Field. The Dickinson State Bluehawks are the season opener on Aug. 29, followed by Montana Western on Sept. 5, then on Sept. 12 Montana State Northern will be here.
