Rocky men’s basketball inks Laurel’s Zac Allen

BILLINGS, Mont. – April 27, 2015 – Rocky Mountain College men’s head basketball coach Bill Dreikosen has announced the signing of Laurel (Mont.) High School’s Zac Allen to an NAIA letter of intent.

Allen is a 6-foot-5 forward/center, who averaged 14 points, nine rebounds and two and a half blocked shots a game in helping lead the Locomotives to this year’s Class A State Championship. His efforts earned him first-team Eastern A All-Conference and All-State honors.

Allen also competes in track and field. He was All-State as a junior.

Allen joins another Battlin’ Bears signee in Billings West’s Danny Betcher on this year’s edition of the Montana All Star team that will battle Wyoming’s best June 12 and 13.

“We believe Zac is a very good signing for us,” Dreikosen said. “He had a great senior season and has shown that he improves every season. We are very excited Zac decided to become a Battlin’ Bear.”
