Ryniker-Morrison Gallery to exhibit ‘Portraits’ October 6 - November 4, 2016
Billings, October 3, 2016 – Rocky Mountain College’s Ryniker-Morrison Art Gallery will host the exhibit, “Portraits” in Tech Hall on the RMC campus from October 6 - November 4, 2016. The opening reception will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2016, from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. The exhibit is free and the public is cordially invited to attend.
Artists Laura Anderson, Michelle Dyk, Coila Evans, Jason Jam, Sheila Miles, Julie Pederson, and Ben Steele will exhibit their original portrait works and state what makes one portrait stand out from the others in their personal art statements.
“Albrecht Durer was one of the first artists to create self-portraits, especially late in his career,” said Ryniker-Morrison Art Gallery Director Sally McIntosh. “Durer once said, ‘The most noble sense of man is his face.’”
Gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The gallery is located on the first floor of Tech Hall on the RMC campus. The gallery is closed on weekends and school holidays. For more information, contact Sally McIntosh at email@example.com.
