Rocky Mountain College to honor graduating veterans at banquet April 21
BILLINGS, April 19, 2016 – Rocky Mountain College will honor its graduating veterans at a Veterans Banquet on April 21, 2016, at 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., in the Great Room of Prescott Hall. At 12:30 p.m., RMC Alumni Director Daniel Parod will present the military stoles to nine graduating student veterans. Each graduate will have time to speak if they choose.
“We are so proud of our graduating student veterans,” said RMC Community Services Coordinator Jill Washburn. “It is an honor to be here today to celebrate their academic achievements and service to our country.”
Washburn said that approximately 30 veterans are expected to be in attendance, and Warrior Wishes Montana will be there presenting colors. Two RMC students will sing the National Anthem, and RMC Board Trustee Chuck Tooley, who is also a fellow veteran, will speak around 12:25 p.m. before the stoles are presented.
“Rocky Mountain College is committed to striving towards being a truly military friendly campus and will continue those efforts through supporting our veterans from the moment that they apply to the College all the way to graduation,” said Washburn.
