World Water Day 2016 – Walk for Water

BILLINGS, March 16, 2016 – Local non-profit organization, Hope 2 One Life, Inc., will host the 9th Annual "Walk for Water" at Rocky Mountain College Bair Student Center on April 2, 2016, at 9:30 a.m.

World Water Day is an international day of observance and opportunity to learn more about water related issues, be inspired to tell others, and take action to make a difference. Since the United Nations designation in 1992, World Water Day is celebrated all over the world by tens of thousands of individuals and organizations. This is the only event of its kind in Montana, which is held in partnership with the Rocky Mountain College Student Environmental Club and The Institute for Peace Studies. “Water and Jobs” is this year’s theme and highlights how both water and jobs have power to transform people’s lives: Water is central to human survival, the environment, and the economy, and decent work can provide income and pave the way for broader social and economic advancements. Nearly all jobs are related to water and those that ensure safe delivery. www.worldwaterday.org
