Rocky Mountain College's Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) Team compete in Zone 8, Region 3. Competition in our region is a friendly contest with teams covering a lot of territory. Traveling to shows around western Montana, Idaho, and Utah, RMC's team van puts on a lot of miles. Additionally, our qualified students travel to regional, zone, and national competitions from California to Pennsylvania.

In addition to the fun of team camaraderie and interesting travel opportunities, the IHSA competitions bring students face-to-face with the experience of quickly adjusting to new horses in new situation. This practical education benefits students with a reality check of their skills in the imperfect setting of life. Students develop the ability to problem solve quickly by learning how to get the best performance from a horse they have spent only moments sitting on. Building confidence in their horsemanship skills, IHSA competition gives students a fun, educational opportunity.

Our team competitors have numerous regional and zone championships to their credit. Individual RMC riders have placed in the top five at the IHSA National Championship Horse Show.
