Concert Band

Are you a musician? The music department wants YOU! for concert band. If you've played a woodwind, brass, or percussion instrument at any point in your educational career and would like to join the band at RMC, we'd love to have you.

"But I haven't played in a while!" Sign up anyway. No audition is required, and we'll get you back in playing shape before you know it.

"But I have a schedule conflict!" Sign up anyway. We can work around your schedule conflicts.

"But I don't have my own instrument anymore!" Sign up anyway. We have instruments available to rent.

Jazz Band

Are you tired of only getting to play the notes on the page? Do you wish you could express yourself through the magic of musical improvisation? Do you think you have what it takes to get an audience on their feet dancing?

If you answered “yes” to any of the above, then jazz band might be for you!

Open to all instruments. No prior jazz experience necessary. A background in music theory is preferred but not required.

Music of a variety of styles will be studied, including swing, funk, rock, blues, and Latin jazz.
