Assistant Men's Basketball Coach/Head JV Coach

Position Description:

This position is responsible for instructing student/athletes in individual and team fundamentals, strategy and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success.  Candidates will be responsible to recruit new student/athletes, schedule games, and handle all travel arrangements for the JV men’s basketball program. Develop a strong network of coaches throughout Montana and the entire region to promote the men’s basketball program at Rocky Mountain College.  Be a positive mentor that will challenge and support student athletes. This position will also assist the varsity men’s basketball program in all day to day operations.

Qualifications:

Candidates need to demonstrate successful ability to develop healthy, trusting and respectful relationships with the players and colleagues. Along with the ability to teach college-level basketball skills effectively and efficiently.

• Education and/or experience: Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Coaching experience:  two years of assistant basketball coaching experience (College coaching experience preferred)
• Other skills and abilities: Excellent interpersonal skills, positive motivator, planning, administrative, and organizational skills are required. Computer knowledge with email and word and excel. Ability to navigate social media and use it in a positive way to benefit the men’s basketball program.
